B L Shipway & Co Pty Ltd is a South Australian owned and operated private company, founded in 1953 by the late Mr Bernard Shipway. The company is owned by 3 shareholders all of whom are directly involved in the daily operation of the business; David Shipway, nephew of the founder is the Managing Director with 35 years at the company, Scott Dabinet, Technical Director with 34 years service and Colin Christie, Administration Director, a CPA Accountant with 15 years at Shipways. B L Shipway & Co currently employ 35 staff including Technical Sales Engineers, Internal Sales Staff, Workshop Supervisors & Tradesmen, Stores Staff and Administration personnel at two locations, Richmond and Elizabeth. Shipway's also have access to additional labour on a sub-contract basis. The Company has been a market leader in South Australia within the Fluid Power industry throughout its history and holds exclusive distribution agreements for South Australia with:

Many of Shipway’s clients are totally reliant on the Company for programmed maintenance, system & condition monitoring, installation and emergency breakdown service 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. B L Shipway carry well in excess of $1 million value of stock at all times at their 2 premises including cylinders, pumps, motors, valves and spare parts which can be accessed at all hours.
